Air Canada’s ‘rouge’ Offers Aeroplan Miles

Air Canada’s new, low-cost leisure carrier ‘rouge‘ is set to take off on July 1st. It is being offered together with Air Canada Vacations.

rouge will fly to a number of European destinations — Athens, Edinburgh and Venice — and to a number of Caribbean and Central American vacation destinations – Cayo Coco, Holguin, Santa Clara and Varadero in Cuba, San Jose and Liberia in Costa Rica, Kingston in Jamaica, and Punta Cana, Puerto Plata and Samana in the Dominican Republic.

rouge also plans to fly to a number of Mexican destinations in the winter.

While the Athens route will start off from Toronto and Montreal, rest of the routes will be from Toronto only.

But connection flights through Air Canada are available.

And, importantly, passengers can collect Aeroplan Miles when they fly rouge at the following rate:

  • Caribbean/Central American destinations: 200 Miles (Tango), 400 (Tango Plus), 1400 (Latitude)
  • Europe: 400, 800, 2800 Miles, respectively.
