VIP Lounge, Santa Clara Airport Cuba – Review

I recently flew out of Santa Clara airport in Cuba and decided to use the airport’s VIP Lounge. I think it cost Canadian dollars 40.00 per person and I had to book it through the travel agent who had booked our all-inclusive.

The VIP access also gave me priority access to check-in at the airport.

After going through the security, I walked to the VIP Lounge which was located on one corner of the rather small airport.

The lounge has three sections – the main section with the mini, open kitchen and some snacks such as chips and water, and two smaller rooms, one of which was the smoking section. The main room had a single TV with CNN running while the second room had a French channel running.

I ordered a cappuccino and inquired about warm food: they had ham-and-cheese sandwiches, tuna sandwiches and sausage-on-a-roll. I decided to go for the first one.

The sandwiches were fairly big and tasted great.

Of course, there was beer, rum and a host of other alcohol varieties available.

The lounge was very comfortable though I saw only a few sets of charging outlets.

One last advantage of the VIP lounge is that we had priority om boarding the aircraft.

All in all, it was a pleasant experience.
